Ca' De Riva Valpolicella Ripasso 2007. Comes across far more more mature & costly than it really is;

P73

a dark beauty that comes on strong with a robust bouquet & flavours of black cherry, spices, vanilla, dark chocolate & dried fruit. Additional nuances of smoke, leather & red fruit. Long lingering finish. I enjoyed it immensely after organic burgers, salad and asparagus. Great with the food, stellar as a sipper. A big affordable wine from Veneto. In your favourite LCBO.
