Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a pleasant red wine made from the Montepulciano wine grape in the Abruzzo region...

... of east-central Italy. These wines are easy-drinking with soft tannins. Montepulciano is also the name of a village in Sienna, Southern Tuscany, which is not related.
